Utah driving skills test
Utah allows the regular driving skills test through DLD and certified third-party testers. Eligibility and minimum test age depend on the testing route.

Testing location changes the minimum test age
The handbook states that DLD skills testing starts at 16, while an approved third-party tester or high school may test from age 15 when other requirements are met.
Bring a legal, safe vehicle
The test vehicle must be registered and meet Utah safety requirements, including working seat belts.
Expect normal driving maneuvers
The scoring covers lane use, turns, starting/stopping, parking, backing, traffic controls, intersections and general vehicle control.
