Terms of use
Road to Permit · Version of 29 September 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Cloud Connected sp. z o.o., pl. Doktora Edwarda Łuczkowskiego 9, 22-100 Chełm, Poland, registered in the National Court Register (KRS) under number 0000863687, tax number (NIP) 5632442947 ("Cloud Connected", "we"), the maker of Road to Permit. They cover the app on Android and on the web, and the purchase of Plus. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data.
You accept these terms when you buy Plus on our website: the payment page asks you to tick a box before you can pay.
Who may use the app. The app is for people preparing for a driver's license knowledge test, including teens preparing for a learner's permit. It is not meant for children under 13. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should read these terms with you and agree before you buy Plus.
2. Not an official service
Road to Permit is an independent study app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the agency that runs driver's license tests in your state, such as the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV), or by any other government agency.
We can't book, move or cancel exams, issue permits or licenses, or tell you whether you are eligible for one. Our guides and the office finder link to official pages, and the official pages decide.
3. Practice, not a guarantee
The app helps you prepare for the driver's license knowledge exam. It does not guarantee that you will pass.
Your readiness, your chance of passing and your study plan are estimates based on your answers in the app. The real exam has its own questions, and its result depends on you and on the testing agency.
We write our own questions from the law and the official handbooks and check them carefully, but mistakes can happen, including in translations. The practice questions are in English; translations are there to help you understand them. Your state decides in which languages its exam is given. If you find a mistake, tell us at contact@cloudconnected.pl.
4. The handbook is the official source
The official sources for the rules are your state's law and its driver handbook, which the app cites. For Florida, the handbook is FLHSMV's Official Florida Driver License Handbook; the app shows which edition it cites.
If the app and the handbook or the law disagree, the handbook and the law apply. Rules and exam procedures change, so check the official website before your exam.
5. The AI instructor
The AI instructor is part of Plus. It is an AI: an AI model writes its answers, and the app marks it as AI. Its answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything important in the handbook.
Before your first message, the app asks for your permission to send your messages to our AI provider; the privacy policy explains what is sent and what we keep.
The instructor answers questions about traffic rules, road signs, the exam and the app. It gives no legal, immigration or other professional advice, and it does not help with documents or residency questions; for those it points you to the official source. Don't rely on it for decisions with legal or financial consequences.
There is a daily limit on messages. The instructor may be unavailable at times, for example when our daily spending limit is reached.
6. Your account
You can use the app without signing in. When you move on from the app's first screen, which tells you this, the app creates an account for you, with no name or e-mail address, and keeps a copy of your progress in it. That copy does not work as a backup until you sign in with Google: only then does it reach a new phone or your other devices, so sign in before you change phones.
Keep your device and your Google account secure: anyone who can open the app on your device can see your progress.
At any time you can download your data (Settings → Account → Download my data) and delete your account and your data (Settings → Account → Delete account and data). If an account that never signed in shows no new activity for 180 days and has no purchase, we delete it automatically; the progress on your device stays and is saved again when the app next connects.
7. Plus: what you buy
7.1 What Plus includes
Plus is one purchase. It is not a subscription: it does not renew, and you are not charged again.
Plus opens, for every US state and the District of Columbia that the app offers, including states we add later:
- the full course of each state, beyond its free part;
- the practice exams in the real exam's format, with your chance of passing;
- the AI instructor, within its daily limit (section 5);
- the bonus road trips.
Without Plus you keep the free part of every state, as the app marks it. Plus covers the United States only.
7.2 Who sells Plus, and how you pay
On our website we sell Plus to you ourselves. Stripe, our payment provider, runs the payment page and takes the payment: you give your card details to Stripe, not to us. The payment page shows the price in US dollars, with any tax, before you pay; today Plus costs USD 14.99. Stripe e-mails you a receipt.
In the Android app you buy Plus in Google Play, at the price Google Play shows you and under its terms; Google takes the payment.
7.3 Where Plus works
Plus belongs to the account that bought it, not to one device or one store. It works on Android and on the web wherever you sign in with the same account. On our website you sign in before you buy, so that Plus is kept with your account. In the Android app, if you buy without signing in, Plus works on that device; to use it anywhere else, first sign in on that device. "Restore purchases" in the app brings back what you bought with the same Google account.
7.4 How long Plus lasts
Plus has no end date: you keep it for as long as we offer Road to Permit. It is not "lifetime access". If we stop offering the app, or remove a feature that Plus includes, section 10 says what we do.
7.5 Plus starts at once, and the right of withdrawal
Plus starts as soon as you have paid. On our website's payment page you ask for that, and confirm that you know what it means for a right of withdrawal, by ticking a box; you can't pay without it.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the law usually gives you 14 days to withdraw from a purchase made at a distance, without giving a reason. For digital content such as Plus, that right ends once Plus has started at your express request and you have acknowledged that you lose it, which the box on the payment page records. If you still have a right of withdrawal, write to us at contact@cloudconnected.pl within 14 days of your purchase; we refund you within 14 days of your message, with the same payment method.
For a purchase in Google Play, Google's rules apply. Buying through a store does not by itself take away a right that the law gives you.
7.6 Refunds
If you bought Plus on our website and it does not work as described, or you paid for it twice by mistake, write to us at contact@cloudconnected.pl within 30 days of your purchase (proposed), and we refund you in full through Stripe. We may refund in other cases too.
For a purchase in Google Play, ask Google Play for a refund under its rules; you can also write to us.
A refund of your purchase ends Plus on every device where you use it; your progress stays. Refunding a second, mistaken payment leaves Plus as it is. If Google Play refunds or cancels your purchase, we may end Plus as well.
Nothing in this section limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer, for example to a remedy when paid content or a paid service does not work as described.
7.7 If you dispute a payment
If you ask your bank or card issuer to reverse a payment for Plus instead of asking us, Plus is paused while the money is held back, and ends if the payment is reversed. It comes back if the dispute ends in our favour. Please write to us first: it is usually quicker.
8. Acceptable use
Use the app for your own study. Don't:
- copy, scrape, publish or sell our questions, explanations, pictures or other content, or use them to build or train another product, including an AI model;
- access the app or our servers by automated means, or try to get around its limits, its paid features or its security;
- try to make the AI instructor break its rules, or use it for anything other than studying;
- type other people's personal information, or your own sensitive information, into the chat (the privacy policy explains why);
- reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- use the app in a way that breaks the law or harms others.
9. Our content
We own the rights in our own original work in the app, as far as the law gives them: the wording of our questions, answers, explanations and guides, the selection and arrangement of our question bank, the place illustrations and trivia, and the app's software and design. We claim no rights in facts, traffic rules, laws or public-domain material, or in other people's works: the handbooks and official pages belong to their publishers.
Road-sign pictures are our own drawings of designs from the federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and, for a few that are not road signs, such as the slow-moving-vehicle emblem and hand signals, of the designs the law or an industry standard describes. Some designs are not free for anyone to use, such as the Interstate route marker: we show them only to teach what the sign means, and their owners keep their rights.
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own study while you follow these terms. We can end it as section 11 describes.
10. Changes to the app
We may change the app: to follow a new handbook or law, to fix errors, to keep it secure, or to improve it. Changes and updates cost you nothing.
We keep the app and Plus working as described, and provide the updates, security updates included, that this needs, for as long as we offer Road to Permit.
If a change would remove a feature that Plus includes, or make Plus clearly worse for you, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days (proposed) before it applies. You may then end the contract within 30 days of the change and, if you bought Plus in the 12 months before it, get a full refund. (proposed)
If we stop offering the app, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days (proposed) before. If you bought Plus in the 12 months before that, we refund it on request. (proposed)
11. Ending your use
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we'll tell you why first, and you can tell us your side.
12. Liability
We work to keep the content correct and the app available, but we can't promise that it is free of errors or always available.
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for:
- the result of your exam, or fees, travel or appointments connected with it;
- decisions you make based on the app's content or on the AI instructor's answers;
- losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Plus, or USD 50 if you did not buy it. (proposed)
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for harm we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. Nothing in them affects your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live, including your rights when digital content or a digital service does not work as the contract says.
13. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we update the version date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you before it applies and ask you to accept the new version. If you don't accept it, you may stop using the app and delete your account; if you bought Plus in the 12 months before the change, we refund it on request. (proposed)
14. Law, disputes and language
These terms are governed by the law of Poland (proposed). Disputes go to the courts of Poland that have jurisdiction over our registered office (proposed).
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
These terms are written in English. We may give you translations to help you read them. If a translation and the English text differ, the English text applies, but only as far as the law of the country where you live allows: a translation never takes away a right that law gives you.
15. App stores
If you downloaded the app from the App Store or Google Play, their terms apply as well.
