Pennsylvania learner's permit and first-license fees

PennDOT's current fee table lists the combined Initial Permit and Four-Year License fee at $45.50. The Initial Permit and Two-Year License option for age 65+ is $33.50.

Initial Class C permit and license fee

PennDOT combines the initial non-commercial permit and later driver-license fee on its regular driver-license fee table. The current Initial Permit and Four-Year License amount is $45.50; the age-65+ Initial Permit and Two-Year License amount is $33.50.

Permit replacement or extension has its own fee

The current table lists $6.00 for adding, extending or replacing a Class A, B or C permit. Check the live fee table before paying because amounts can change.

Driver License Centers do not accept cash

PennDOT Driver License Centers accept debit or credit cards, checks and money orders, but not cash. The Riverfront Office Center Customer Counter also accepts cash.
