Montana driving test requirements
The road test follows the written exam and learner-permit stage. Teens must also satisfy the GDL hold and supervised-practice requirements.

Montana lists the learner permit among the driving-test items for adult first-time drivers.
Bring registration and insurance
The test vehicle must have current registration, proof of insurance and no disqualifying mechanical issues.
Teen applicants complete GDL prerequisites first
The under-18 route requires the NCLP hold period, supervised-driving log and parent/guardian certification before the restricted-license road test.
