Missouri teen instruction-permit rules
Missouri's GDL system begins with a Class F instruction permit at age 15. The permit stage builds supervised driving experience before the Intermediate License.

The counting period begins after issuance, and the teen also must meet Missouri's clean-driving-record requirements.
Complete supervised driving
Missouri requires at least 40 hours of instruction, including 10 hours at night between sunset and sunrise.
Supervision rules change at age 16
Under 16, Missouri limits the eligible accompanying drivers more strictly; at 16 or older, the supervising driver in the front seat generally must be at least 21 and properly licensed.
