Missouri Class F instruction-permit requirements

Missouri's Class F instruction permit begins at age 15. Testing happens at an MSHP examination station, while the actual permit is issued afterward by a Missouri license office.

The instruction-permit process requires vision, road-sign recognition and written testing at an MSHP examination station.

Get the actual permit at a license office

The Driver Examination Record is not itself a legal permit. Bring it and the required documents to a Missouri license office and pay the permit fee.

Teen GDL adds time and practice

Before the Intermediate License, hold the permit at least 182 days and complete 40 supervised hours, including 10 at night, while meeting the driving-record conditions.
