Class CP permit from age 15

DDS allows a Class CP instructional permit from age 15. While driving on the permit, you must be accompanied by a licensed Class C driver age 21 or older who is fit to take control and seated beside you.

Teen drivers have additional requirements

A teen applying for a Class D provisional license must generally hold the permit for one year and one day, satisfy Joshua's Law driver-education requirements, complete supervised driving, meet school and ADAP requirements, and pass the road test.
