Choose an accepted identity-document combination
DOL publishes several ways to meet the identity standard, including a stand-alone document or combinations from its A- and B-lists. Use the current official list before your visit.
Minors need permission
Applicants under 18 need parent or guardian permission. If the adult is not present, Washington provides a parental authorization affidavit process.
Photo permit visits need the documents in person
If you want a photo learner permit, DOL directs you to a driver licensing office and requires the identity documents needed for the transaction.
