Documents for an Oregon instruction permit
Oregon DMV requires proof of identity, date of birth and residence address before issuing a driving privilege. Applicants provide their SSN if assigned or electronically certify that they do not have one.

Identity and date of birth
Bring the current DMV-accepted proof for your credential type.
Physical residence address
If the identity document does not establish your current residence address, bring an additional acceptable address document.
REAL ID is optional but needs more proof
REAL ID applicants must bring the additional documents required by Oregon DMV and pay the current REAL ID surcharge.
