Mississippi learner-permit requirements
Mississippi's Regular Learner's Permit is valid for two years and starts at age 15 for eligible applicants.

Core permit steps
- Study the current Mississippi Driver's License Manual.
- Bring the completed application, accepted identity document, Social Security evidence and two residency proofs.
- For ages 15–17, bring the required current school-attendance form unless an official exception applies.
- Pass the knowledge and eye exams.
Knowledge testing is in person
Mississippi currently requires all knowledge exams to be taken at the testing location.
