Idaho teen permit and GDL rules
Idaho's GDL program adds training and supervised-practice requirements for drivers under 17.

Complete approved driver training
The handbook says driver training is required for anyone under 17 applying for an Idaho driver license.
Complete 50 supervised hours
At least 10 of the 50 hours must be at night, with a qualified licensed driver supervising.
A traffic conviction can reset the supervised period
The handbook says a violation during the supervised instruction period cancels the permit and starts the minimum six months over with a new permit.
