Louisiana road skills test
Louisiana's road-skills test for new drivers is performed through driving schools. Students must have the required Temporary Instructional Permit during the testing process.

Road skills are tested at driving schools
OMV directs new-driver road-skills testing through licensed driving schools rather than treating it as an ordinary walk-in OMV branch test.

A student must have the Temporary Instructional Permit in possession during the road-skills test.
Teen eligibility depends on the GDL stage
Ages 15 and 16 must meet the learner-permit holding-period and other current GDL requirements before progression.
